Your Future @ S E A
Your first few months at S E A will be a time of learning, discovery and integration. It will be your time to orient yourself to your new "home", your work team, your manager and group leader, and of course, the work you will be doing.
You will be provided with a suggested list of people with whom you should meet so you can get a full picture of who we are as a company and how we do what we do. You will also learn about accomplishments expected of you within the first six months at S E A, how you will be managed and evaluated, how you can learn and contribute as quickly as possible, and opportunities for professional development. You will also learn about opportunities for mentoring, leadership development, and technical training.
Within the first few of months of joining S E A, you will be connected with a Reviewer. Reviewers are selected based on their interest and caring about their reviewee and their ability to provide active support in the form of mentoring and professional guidance on technical excellence, business development, business management and leadership. Effective reviewers understand the fundamental elements of this key leadership role. They know that:
Relationships are essential for giving and receiving feedback on an ongoing basis. A relationship is most powerful when it has Empathy, Trust and Honesty at its core. Reviewers who take true interest in the reviewee as a person, add Value by mentoring and guiding the reviewee who, in turn, is motivated to continuously improve his/her capacity to add value. Effective Reviewers see their ongoing active support as an Investment in their reviewee's success by guiding them toward performance Excellence, such that both reviewer and reviewee feel like Winners, satisfied in both of their ongoing professional development and successful achievements throughout the year. When it is time to Evaluate performance at the end of the year, the Results speak for themselves!
