Engineering, software programming/configuration, instrumentation upgrade, and system integration for a PLC based control and monitoring system at a large LNG peakshaving facility. Scope included detailed electrical and instrumentation sub-panel design, PLC software programming, custom communication driver development and implementation, and site commissioning and testing. Subsequent modifications/additions have included: a new Windows NT based SCADA system; integration of MRL and expander liquefaction, boil-off and vaporization systems into the automated plant control system; plant-wide Y2K evaluation/testing and compliance implementation; and set-up of a remote plant control node at the Gas Control Center.
