S E A was selected by the Connecticut DPW to provide A/E services for the Southington Connecticut Armory. The project is budgeted at $4.13 million and includes renovations to offices, training, storage, dining and kitchen facilities.

Site work includes stormwater infiltration galleries, reconfiguration of roadways and parking areas to provide a higher level of security. The requirements of the Department of Defense's Anti-Terrorism Force Protection Program (ATFP) are being implemented. This includes assessment of the entry road, proximity to the building, and standoff distance requirements for the new parking areas. The project will incorporate sustainable features under the Federal SPiRiT guidelines.

S E A is providing concept alternatives, construction documents, bid support, and construction administration services. Construction is expected to be completed in 2006.
