MCI Framingham Health Center

S E A Consultants Inc. was contracted to perform professional design services to prepare the Study and RFP for design/build of the new Health Services Unit at MCI Framingham Women's Correctional Center. This study involved an assessment of the various existing building systems by architectural, structural, and mechanical/electrical disciplines. This $3 million project was bid in 2002 and construction was completed in 2003.

Particular attention was paid to all security issues at the facility and compliance with American Correctional Association standards. Since the project was to utilize modular construction techniques the design had to be repetitive and relatively easy to assemble. At the same time the facade had to be compatible with the adjacent masonry structure.
