The Town of Framingham faced the "perfect storm" of regulatory non–compliance, pressures from developers, poor to non–existent records and systems, a retiring work force, and inefficient operations. The Town desperately needed an efficient system to prioritize capital spending and management of its sewer infrastructure. S E A created an asset management system using VUEWorks software enabling them to update and automate sewer asset information, prioritize capital improvements and proactively maintain its infrastructure system.

Sustainable features
The DPW experienced a decrease of energy expended on daily operations and maintenance activities. They were able to eliminate 7 pumping stations and 5 miles of force mains, saving the Town $25 million in capital costs and over $100,000 in annual energy costs.
