Planning and construction of Harvard's new 10 million square foot campus required a full range of A/E /P services. S E A has accomplished over 25 such assignments to date, including: construction logistics planning, a materials management & underground campus master plan, building renovation, demolition design, and a 3D model of the entire above- and below-ground campus.
Sustainable features
S E A deconstruction services enabled 90 percent of the material from existing buildings to be recycled and developed a campus-wide materials management plan integrating buildings with the underground parking and utilities system. The plan reduces street level truck traffic, noise, exhaust, and pedestrian disturbance and supports Harvard’s aggressive Green Campus Initiative and LEED certifications.
Client collaboration
S E A programmed and designed renovations to the existing WGBH building for program support staff, including owner’s representatives, design firms and construction managers. We also prepared phasing plans; traffic management plans; construction mitigation plans and program logistics enabling for the one million s.f First Science Building.
