The Town of Goffstown hired S E A to provide design, environmental permitting, and construction services for the Main Street Bridge. Improvements included restoration of the sidewalk and bridge rail, rehabilitation of deteriorated sections of the concrete arch, reconstruction of a granite block retaining wall and roadway approach work necessary to complete the project. In addition, S E A inspected and prepared a rating for the bridge that was used to secure funds from the NH Municipal Bridge Aid Program.

As a means to expedite construction, achieve high quality, and minimize costs, the ornamental concrete bridge rail was designed with a combination of precast and cast-in-place concrete components. Its restoration was performed in accordance with the requirements of the New Hampshire Division of Historical Resources and was nominated as a Project of the Year by NEAPWA.
