This facility was located among a residential community for over 60 years and was seriously dilapidated. S E A was retained to find a way to make the complex more attractive to the surrounding neighborhood while increasing the functionality of the buildings to serve the needs of a modern day DPW.

The final design included 27,500 SF of renovations and 29,000 SF of building additions including a 1,250 sq. ft. emergency operations control center for police, fire and DPW response operations. The new complex created a courtyard which shelters the neighborhood from internal DPW operations, while also providing needed security. Landscaping was added to visually buffer the street and playing fields from the facility.
