S E A provided planning, design, permitting, bid and construction services for over 12,000 feet of roadway and sidewalk improvements for the City of Concord. The project includes the alignment of 2,500 feet of new roadway around the end of an active airport runway; reconstruction and widening of 9,000 feet of approaches and traffic signals for two intersections; major utility (water, sewer, gas, electric, cable, telephone) relocations and the addition/reconstruction of 6,000 feet of sidewalk and bikeways to provide safe pedestrian travel between two commercialized sections of the City. Because the new roadway alignment crosses an active municipal airport runway and military facility, close coordination with various federal, state and local agencies involved with the project was critical to the project's success.
