At Fields Point, Innovation Leads the Way
Narragansett Bay Commission's IFAS Facility "World's Largest"
06/30/2010 - The Fields Point Wastewater Treatment Facility in Providence, RI, received a NPDES permit with a requirement for nitrogen removal to 5 mg/L or less. To meet this strict nitrogen permit, the Narragansett Bay Commission, facility owners and operators, selected an Integrated Fixed Film Activated Sludge (IFAS) process. When complete, the project will be the world's largest IFAS plant.
