S E A Presents at Energy Efficiency/Combined Heat and Power Workshop

CHP programs, savings, and funding reviewed for municipal government officials

05/06/2009 - S E A, National Grid, the North East CHP Initiative, the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources, and the Northeast CHP Application Center will hold an informative Energy Efficiency and Combined Heat and Power (CHP) Workshop for the Health Care Industry and Municipal Government on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 from 8:30am - 12:00pm at National Grid's office, 52 Second Avenue, Waltham, MA 02451.

Sessions will include:

* Review of National Grid, NERAC, EPA and MA DOER programs and incentives

* Overview of CHP including energy saving and environmental benefits

* Various financial options and the economics of CHP

* Joan Fontaine, P.E. of S E A Consultants will present a case study of an ongoing
municipal CHP project in Massachusetts, which has the potential to achieve a 30%
reduction in electricity consumption and a net $200K savings in operating costs.
