Jon Beekman Receives Fuller Award
At 2009 American Water Works Association Conference
07/01/2009 - San Diego, CA--Jon Beekman of S E A Consultants was the recipient of the prestigious George W. Fuller Award from the American Water Works Association (AWWA) and was honored at the annual conference in San Diego in June. The award is given yearly for distinguished service in the water supply field and in recognition of engineering skill, diplomatic talent, and constructive leadership. Additionally, Beekman was awarded Life Membership in AWWA this year.
Beekman holds an A.A.S. in Civil Engineering Technology, SUNY; a B.S.F. from the University of New Hampshire; and an M.P.A. from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government. He has been with S E A since 1999.
The award is named after George Warren Fuller, a consulting engineer and member of the AWWA who advised more than 150 cities, commissions, and corporations on their water supply and sewerage problems during his 34 years of practice. Fuller gave freely of his time and energy to the advancement of his chosen profession through participation in the activities of technical societies, through contributions to the engineering press, and through educational activities.
