Wentworth Grad Gives Back
Evaluates Senior Capstone Presentations
08/03/2009 -
Engineers at S E A Consultants do more than serve clients: they donate professional services to give back to the communities where they live and work.
Rob Kenneally, P.E., a Senior Project Engineer with S E A, served as an evaluator for the Capstone Design Presentations delivered by senior-year Wentworth Institute of Technology engineering students. Evaluators offer a professional perspective while providing constructive advice to students about their presentations. At the end of the presentations, they complete an evaluation that measures how effectively design concepts were conveyed. The Capstone Design presentations are senior-level team projects that aim to solve a complex, "real-world" engineering problem. It concludes the student's undergraduate studies by solving an engineering problem without a readily available answer. Kenneally said he was most impressed with the consideration for the social and environmental impacts the designs addressed as well as the modeling technology used in the designs.
Kenneally is a graduate of Wentworth Institute with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Boston Society of Civil Engineers, Solid Waste Association of North America, and the North American Society for Trenchless Technology.
What our clients say...
This project required a complex sequence of utility relocations to clear the sites and to clear the street for tunnel construction. S E A has done an extraordinary job and knows very well university needs, site planning and engineering, as well as the process of implantation, permitting, and construction.
