S E A Wins 2008 Build Connecticut Award

S E A Honored for Yankee Gas LNG Facility Project

02/26/2008 - S E A was presented with the 2008 Build Connecticut Award for New Large Construction for the Yankee Gas LNG facility project in Waterbury, CT. As a member of the team involved in this project, S E A was honored at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville, CT on February 26, 2008.The facility is the first full-containment tank constructed in the U.S. As Owner's Engineer, S E A provided assistance and guidance with the siting, permitting, regulatory approvals, construction administration, and commissioning. The project was under budget and Yankee Gas obtained full rate recovery from the regulatory agency.

Submissions were received for the following categories: Large New Construction - $10 million and over; Small New Construction, under $10 million, Large Renovation, $5 million and over, and Small Renovation, under $5 million.

The Build CT Award is a yearly award given out by the Connecticut Construction Industries Association.
