Kleinfelder/S E A Panelists in Net Zero Discussion

Event held at Northeastern University, May 19

03/22/2010 - Peter Newton, Project Manager, and Brian Thompson, Project Architect, Kleinfelder/S E A Consultants will be speaking about the Framingham, MA, water resource center. The design of the center was originally conceived as little more than a "water plant," however; encouragement from the owner prompted its rapid evolution into sustainable architecture that represents a statement of future possibility. Despite a four-fold compression in design schedule due to ARRA deadlines, the commitment to sustainable design elements was never compromised. What resulted is a facility that would be heated and cooled almost entirely by the nearly four million gallons per day of process water; was lit almost entirely by the sun, and managed stormwater in harmony with the existing hydrologic cycle.

ACEC/MA will host this discussion on the evolution of sustainability and industry movement towards Net Zero from a policy, demand, analysis, and execution perspective. Hear about ways to improve heating, cooling, lighting, and stormwater management needs in a more sustainable environment.

Register online for the ACEC Evolution of Sustainability and Industry Movement, Wednesday, May 19, 8-12:00 p.m. at Northeastern University, 1155 Tremont Street, Boston, MA.

What our clients say...

This project required a complex sequence of utility relocations to clear the sites and to clear the street for tunnel construction. S E A has done an extraordinary job and knows very well university needs, site planning and engineering, as well as the process of implantation, permitting, and construction.
