NHDOT Interstate 89/Route 120 Reconstruction

This project included a traffic study and preliminary and final design for the widening of NH Route 120 over Interstate I-89. A comprehensive traffic study,that involved a capacity analysis of the I-89 ramps intersections with NH Route 120, and traffic signal analysis were performed to determine the required lane configuration of the intersections and NH Route 120. The study results indicated the need for the widening of the existing four-lane bridge and roadway section to seven lanes with appropriate lane transitions at each end of the project.

Following acceptance of the preliminary design, S E A completed final design, preparation of contract plans for the road and bridge, right-of-way purchase plans, and Wetland Impact Plans. The estimated construction cost for this project is $3.5 million dollars.
