S E A Consultants provided preliminary and final design services to the ConnDOT for the engineering of three major bridges and one large retaining wall along with 15,250 feet (2.9 miles) of highway. The project included the preparation of roadway layout plans, profiles, cross sections, curbing layout plans, pavement marking plans, traffic signal plans (2 intersections), signing plans, bridge foundation plans, pier and abutment plans, superstructure plans, bridge deck plans and associated bridge construction details. The bridge design and construction plans, were completed in accordance with State and Federal Highway Design Standards.

Due to the heavy volumes of traffic in the area, a detailed Traffic Control plan was developed for a staged construction of the structure while providing for a minimum four travel lanes on busy NH Route 120. Since the existing roadway crosses the floodplain of the Mascoma River, issues regarding flood storage and wetlands were design considerations. S E A designed the closed drain system and provided for stormwater runoff water quality treatment.
