S E A was selected in 1997 to provide engineering and environmental support to WRTA as part of a task order contract. S E A has provided 28 tasks under this contract in a variety of disciplines. S E A has completed architectural and engineering tasks ranging from relocation of bus shelters to structural investigations at the maintenance facility to construction oversight of a HVAC system in the facility.

S E A has also provided environmental services under the Massachusetts Contingency Plan that have included but have not been limited to: conducting Release Abatement Measures for the removal and clean up around underground storage tanks; conducting Immediate Response Action for the subsurface release of hydraulic fluids; and selecting bioremediation for the clean up of residual fuel oil in groundwater and subsurface soils. S E A has also designed and installed more than 35 access ports for distribution of bacteria and nutrients for the bioremediation process and has prepared budget estimates, briefings and DEP filings for various activities at the site, now in full compliance with DEP regulations.
