Seacon Shipping and Bureau Veritas Sign MoU to Deepen Strategic Cooperation

The signing ceremony was attended by senior executives and representatives from both organizations, including Dr. Jeffrey GUO, Senior Vice President, BV M&O Asia Pacific; Mr. Maciej LEPICKI, Vice President, BV M&O Greater China; Mr. Zekai CHEN, President, Seacon Shipping Group; and Mr. Hui YUAN, President, Seacon Ship Management Group.

As a leading international classification society and a globally recognized provider of testing, inspection and certification (TIC) services, BV has extensive expertise in ship safety, technical standards and maritime decarbonization, supported by a global service network. Seacon Shipping is an integrated maritime service provider with extensive experience in international shipping and ship management, offering comprehensive solutions across the maritime value chain.

Building on their established cooperation and strong alignment in strategic priorities and business development, the two organizations will further leverage their respective strengths to address emerging opportunities and challenges across the maritime industry, while promoting technological innovation and operational excellence.

Under the MoU, Seacon Shipping and BV will deepen cooperation in areas including ship classification and statutory services, technology research and development, technological innovation, and the digitalization of ship operations and management. The collaboration will also take into account global maritime industry trends and support the implementation of China’s “Dual Carbon” goals.

Beyond these areas, the two parties will explore opportunities for joint research projects and participation in high-level industry forums, creating broader platforms for knowledge exchange, technical collaboration and industry engagement.

Both parties will leverage their respective strengths in technology, resources and industry expertise to translate the cooperation into tangible outcomes, with the shared goal of supporting the maritime industry’s transition toward greater safety, sustainability and digital intelligence.
